CAT6 Ethernet Patch Cables
Price range: $2.00 through $21.75
- Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) Category 6 Ethernet cable, 550MHz bandwidth
- 24AWG stranded, pure bare copper conductor
- Snagless cable boot protects the plug retaining clip and is easier to depress than other boots
- 50μm gold plated modular plugs ensure clear transmission by eliminating signal loss due to corrosion
Description
CAT6 cables feature a thinner cable boot protecting the plug retaining clip, which makes it much easier to depress the clip and protective cover.
These Ethernet cables are made of 100% pure bare copper wire, as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, and are therefore fully compliant with UL® Code 444 and National Electrical Code® TIA-568-C.2 fire and safety standards, which require pure bare copper wire in communications cables.
Follow BUGS BYTE’s conventional color coding for a clean look and instant identification – so you don’t waste your time on tracing cables
- BLUE – data traffic
- like PCs, servers, printers and other end-points
- BLACK – voice traffic
- example, VoIP phones
- YELLOW – uplinks
- for inter-connecting switches to each other
- WHITE – access points
- APs are often colored white and found against a white ceiling
- RED – uplinks to firewall
- Red, fire… get it?
- ORANGE – either IP security cameras or network storage
- because both storage and orange end ‘ge’ and have an ‘o’ somewhere
- if you have both, cameras and storage – consider green or as an alternate
- Grey and purple – often are too close to other colors to be distinguishable.
